Marie and Aaron were married on that rare September day filled with buckets of rain. We were working with our gal pals Q/A Designs, and owner Kendall actually constructed all the florals -- including a giant ceremony arch -- in the driving rain. She's not just talented she is COMMITTED!

At the last minute, the couple chose to move the ceremony inside the barn. Not a bad Plan B, when you have the right team in place! I have now shot at this venue in the rain and on a perfectly clear day, and I can tell you that both galleries make me happy.

My favorite part of the wedding had to be the toasts. The bride's sister and MOH focused on how much she'd always looked up to her sister and wanted to be her, and slipped into a child's bride costume mid-speech, which sent everyone into roaring laughter. And the best man, the groom's brother, did one better: he produced a document from their childhood in which the groom, Aaron, had deeded to him his soul. Time to pay up, Aaron!

I will always love this couple. They were so amazing to work with and so incredible to their family. They dreamed of having an intimate wedding at The Hort, but compromised so they could accommodate their super large family....a guest list of almost 300!!! Not many couples would make a sacrifice like this, but that's the sort of people Marie and Aaron are. Big love to you both!! xo
